Morphe has announced Jaclyn Hill's new line will be delayed.
I was really looking forward to this one, you guys, I mean, did you freaking see her hyped up Youtube announcement where she swatched every color on her arm and proceeded to make sex noises?!
For those of you who have no idea what's going on...
The world just watched Jaclyn Hill announce her divorce with Jon this month, and I think we were all expecting a comeback of a lifetime with Jaclyn. Within a month of going public with her divorce, Jaclyn made a major announcement-- her latest makeup launch with Morphe would be an entire Vault of shades that didn't make it to her Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette, and it would come out June 26! After watching her rant and rave about the colors and quality of The Vault palettes, I was so excited to try these out and already had a plan for June 26 for buying them.
I just returned from vacation, open my laptop to see if any reviews leaked in, and I see this:
Talk about some hot tea time!! GURL!!
Although Morphe & Jaclyn haven't said what's going on, there's plenty of speculation, and here's what I think-
There are just a couple of reviews of the palette's up, and all the reviews are, well, not so enthusiastic! Complaints about blending, fallout, kickback, and just a general unhappiness about the quality and lack of color variety. Did Morphe feel these few, but powerful, reviews were just too devastating for the launch? I think so!
And can I just say how interesting it is that Jaclyn totally destroyed 'The Momager' Launch of Kris Kollection at Kylie Cosmetics, and here we are, was Jaclyn's 'The Vault' launch destroyed by YouTube reviews, as well?!
Or what about this-- Jaclyn's collab with Becca Cosmetics was a smash hit, but if you notice the logo on Becca's palette and the logo on Morphe's palette is pretty darn similiar... perhaps Becca had an issue?
